We now accept a limited number of students starting "from scratch"!
Students will have their first class with the group and participate in all activities of the weekend. Their tentative schedule will be as follows:
During the weekend, the primary goal of your sessions will be to make sure you have a solid grounding of the basics. The stroke, fingering the notes, basic chords and double C/D tuning. This will be accomplished by a number of techniques including both group class and one on one tutoring.
Friday: Arrival starting at 2 PM gives you time for an informal afternoon of settling in, visiting, perhaps a walk, some light jamming and just plain getting acclimated.
We will have a group supper at around 5 after which, the evening kicks it up with a
demonstration concert. Students will play a couple of tunes each and so will
your instructors.
Saturday and Sunday: Your first session will be with Dan and the group after which you will be working with Miss Jennifer to get your basics solid and under control as you work on your first tune.
